About Us

"I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me."
- Philippians 4:13

Our Organization

Marietta’s House was named in honor of my mother, Marietta Burris. She was an awesome woman with a giving heart. She was always helping others and through Marietta's House her giving spirit and desire to help others in need lives on.

Our organization is built on the foundation of spirituality, integrity and honesty and we are committed to applying these core values to every client's situation. We offer our supportive services to single mothers who are struggling to overcome hardships and poverty, but at the same time have a strong desire to achieve a better way of life and financial stability.

Our Mission

The mission of Marietta's House Support & Resource Center is to provide hope and a better way of life by providing housing, employment and basic needs to single mothers struggling to overcome poverty and hardships.

Our Vision

We believe that if you put your trust and faith in God, He will give you everything you need to triumph over any adversity you come up against.

Leadership

Nikki Burris

"I know what it’s like to face hardship alone. As a former single mother navigating the challenges of poverty, I experienced the weight of uncertainty, the struggle to provide, and the deep desire for a better life. That journey is what inspired me to create Marietta’s House.

I founded this organization to be the support I once needed—for others walking a similar path. Marietta’s House exists to lift individuals and families out of hardship and into hope, stability, and self-sufficiency. As Pastor Johnson says, 'When you overcome, reach back and help somebody come on over.' That’s exactly what we strive to do every day."
